On Behalf of everyone involved with the RBC Canadian Open, thank you to all of our volunteers who have offered their time and energy to help make this year's championship a success. There are still positions available, please tell your friends and family to sign up now.
All registered and accepted volunteers should have received a newsletter with their committee assignment.
If you have not been contacted with your committee assignment, please contact Katie Hartl at email@example.com.
Below you will find some useful information regarding volunteering for the 2013 RBC Canadian Open.
Volunteer Shifts: Each volunteer is required to work a minimum of twenty four (24) hours and be available at least four (4) days during the week of the tournament. Each volunteer shift is approximately four (4) to six (6) hours in length. Some shifts may be longer due to the nature of the volunteer position.
Volunteer Confirmation: Volunteers are assigned to committees on a needed basis and therefore cannot be guaranteed a position. We will attempt to assign you to one of your top choices; however you may be placed on a committee that requires additional volunteers.
Volunteer Parking: All volunteers will receive a parking pass to park at a designated lot during the RBC Canadian Open (Location TBD). Shuttles will run from 5:00am until one hour after play or as needed by volunteers from the parking lot to Glen Abbey Golf Club. Details and map to lot will be available in the spring.
Volunteer Package: Each volunteer is required to purchase the volunteer uniform package for $75 (taxes included). The package includes:
- Official adidas volunteer shirt
- adidas visor or hat
- Transferable weekly guest pass
- Weekly parking pass
- Volunteer badge
- Waist pack
- Aluminum water bottle
Please note that your volunteer badge provides access to the grounds when volunteering as well as when you are a spectator. The transferable weekly guest pass is an additional pass for you to give to family or friends. That’s a value of more than $300 not including the unique experience of being “inside the ropes” as a volunteer at a PGA TOUR event.
Discounted Volunteer Accommodations: We are pleased to offer our valued volunteers discounted accommodations during the RBC Canadian Open. Click here for more info.
Volunteer Ticket Offer: As a special thank you to our volunteers, we are pleased to offer discounts on our ANYDAY GOUNDS TICKETS and GOLF CANADA HOUSE TICKETS. Tickets can be purchased online or by calling 1-800-571-6736.
NB: Please contact Katie Hartl at firstname.lastname@example.org to receive your discount promotional code.
Exclusive Volunteer Offer: Similar to past years, volunteers will have the opportunity to buy additional volunteer shirts and our adidas CLIMAPROOF rain jacket.
The exclusive volunteer e-store is now closed. If you are interested in buying additional apparel it will available for purchase on July 20th and from July 22nd – 28th in the Volunteer Tent while quantities last.
Volunteer Uniform: Each volunteer participating in the RBC Canadian Open will receive an official championship volunteer shirt and a cap or visor. Volunteers are to wear their own beige coloured pants, shorts or capris.
Orientation Schedule: At your orientation, you will pick up your volunteer package, receive general training on your duties, meet your chair people and have the opportunity to ask questions about the volunteer experience.

- Attending your orientation is important to receive information about your committee and responsibilities.
- Arrive 10 minutes prior to your start time in order to register and receive your volunteer package.
- Do not attend an orientation other than your own.
- The Volunteer Services committee is their own committee, do not attend this orientation unless you are in the Volunteer Services committee.
