RBC Wealth Management Championship Pro-Am Start Times set for 2011 RBC Canadian Open

With the opening-round of the 102nd playing of Canada’s National Open Golf Championship less than two days away, excitement at Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club continues to build leading up to the $5.2 million (U.S.) RBC Canadian Open.

Wednesday, July 20th is the RBC Wealth Management Championship Pro-Am. In all, 52 professionals will entertain 156 amateurs as tournament week continues at the renowned Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club.

CN FUTURE LINKS – WALK WITH A PRO
On Wednesday, July 20th, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, kids from Canada’s Junior Golf Program – CN Future Links – will get a chance to caddy for PGA TOUR professionals on the 17th hole.  Juniors will carry the pro’s putter or bag and can take the pro’s first putt.  Drop by to see young golfers “Walk with a Pro”.  CN Future Links is Canada’s national junior golf program conducted by Golf Canada, the Canadian PGA and the National Golf Course Owner’s Association (NGCOA).  To find a CN Future Links program in your area visit www.CNfuturelinks.com.

CANADA’S PREMIERS TO VISIT RBC CANADIAN OPEN
Canada’s Premiers are meeting in Vancouver on July 20-22 for the annual summer meeting of the Council of the Federation. While in Vancouver, Canada’s Premiers will visit the 2011 RBC Canadian Open on Wednesday and take part in a photo opportunity on the practice facility at 11:00 am. Created in 2003, the Council of the Federation enables Premiers to work collaboratively to strengthen the Canadian federation by fostering a constructive relationship among the provinces and territories, and with the federal government. As incoming Chair of the Council of the Federation, British Columbia Premier Christy Clark is hosting the meeting in Vancouver.
